About TechBytes

Hi, I'm Keaton. I run Harbor Tech Bytes, and most days I'm the person a small city, a local business or a ranch office calls when something stops working. TechBytes is where we write down what we learned on those calls, so the next person (maybe you, maybe us six months from now) doesn't have to figure it out from scratch.

Nothing here is theory. If there's a tutorial on VLANs, it's because we've untangled a lot of them. If there's a write-up about a VPN that never worked, it's because somebody's staff spent years working around it until we finally dug in.

What's here

Tutorials are how we actually do things: networking, Microsoft 365 and Intune, Windows Server and AD, Linux, Proxmox, security and scripting. Commands you can copy, and the mistakes we made so you can skip them.

Show & Tell is our project write-ups. What the client needed, what we built, and what went sideways along the way.

Community is yours. Ask questions, show off your homelab, argue about switches.
